Inman Aligner Aftercare Instructions
- You may find it difficult to speak or swallow at first. Your saliva rate will also increase. This is nothing to worry about as you will soon get used to it.
- If any part of the appliance feels sharp or rough, return to us and we can provide you with soft wax. If you run out of soft wax, chewing gum can get you by!
- As the appliance works, your teeth may feel tender to bite on and sore. This is normal.
- Your teeth may feel loose over the next few weeks as they start moving. Again, this is normal.
- You should always clean your teeth before wearing the Inman Aligner.
- You should wear it for 20 hours a day for optimum results. Do not wear it for more than 20 hours.
- Take the appliance out to eat and then clean your teeth.
- Be aware that the lingual assembly of the appliance can come out and springs can get lost. If this ever happens, please return to us.
- Insert the appliance one side first, then the front springs and finally the other side.
- Remove the appliance by holding the front two springs with one hand and the back with the other.
