Dental Veneers – It’s Your choice: Just Make It!

Today just about anyone and everyone – Not just the Superstars – Seem to be undergoing some form of Cosmetic Dentistry: Teeth Whitening and Dental Veneers being among the most popular procedures of all. Comparatively speaking costs have come down since the early days; which obviously goes a long way to helping the rise in Cosmetic Dentistry procedures being carried out. In addition, many Cosmetic Dentistry Clinics will also offer installment payment terms, which makes budgeting for treatment more manageable.

Types Of Dental Veneer

There are two primary Dental Veneers available – They are Composite and Porcelain Veneers. A relative newcomer to Cosmetic Dentistry is Lumineer Porcelain Veneers: And they are becoming more popular. This is effectively a ‘trade mark’ Veneer which is manufactured from a specific Porcelain called Cerinate. Lumineer Porcelain Veneers are thinner than regular Porcelain Veneers. Even so, Cerinate is extremely durable: So much so that the strength of these Dental Veneers is pronounced to be comparable with regular Porcelain Veneers which can last fifteen years. The primary advantage this offers is that Lumineer (Cerinate) Porcelain Veneers require less reshaping because they are thinner than their Porcelain predecessors. However, Lumineers are relatively new and as a consequence tend to be the more expensive option.

Pro's and Con's

Like most things in life there are advantages and disadvantages with regards to choice. Composites are the least expensive of all the Dental Veneers available to date and the procedure is less invasive than that required to apply Porcelain Veneers. Bar the initial consultation, the application of Composite Veneers can usually be completed within one visit and reshaping is not necessary – This can make them a preferable option in comparison to Porcelain Veneers, particularly for older patients. However, even though Composite Veneers are the least expensive and the least intrusive treatment they rarely last longer than five years.

All Dental Veneers Can:

Cover Stained and Yellow Teeth To Brighten and Whiten Your Smile
