Cosmetic Dentistry; different types of Dentures that are available
Cosmetic Dentures nowadays are more natural looking and comfortable to wear, others wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from denture teeth to your normal teeth! They are very strong and long lasting. Cosmetic Dentures are the top treatment option for patients who either have no teeth or some teeth.
At Perfect Smile Spa in Essex, near Kent all our Cosmetic Dentures are made of the best quality materials using the best equipment. The Denture Technician who our Cosmetic Dentist, Essex works with has appeared many times on Extreme Makeover TV show. His dentures are routinely used to change people’s smiles. We make 4 different types of Cosmetic Dentures:
Full Dentures – these are made for patients who have no teeth at all. They are usually made from acrylic. It takes 4-5 appointments to make these dentures. Special checks and measurements are done at these appointments to ensure that the dentures fit perfectly and comfortably.
Partial Dentures – these are made for patients who have a few teeth missing. These can be made from either acrylic or cobalt chrome metal. Partial dentures help to restore function and aesthetics. ;
Immediate Dentures – are used when teeth need to be extracted and the patient doesn’t want to leave without any teeth. They are made from acrylic and are only a temporary option as over the next few months after the extractions the bone will heal making the immediate denture loose. This usually happens after around 3 months.
Cosmetic Dentures supported by Teeth Implants – these are for people who are completely edentulous (have no teeth). Implants are placed into the bone, after 6 months once the bone has healed around the Implants clips are placed onto these. The Cosmetic Dentures then clip onto these clips. Teeth Implants give the Cosmetic Denture something to hold onto preventing them from moving around when eating and speaking.
