People who havemissing teeth need to have teeth replaced to be able to eat and speakproperly.  There are 2 ways of doing this– Teeth Implants or Cosmetic Dentures. Both are a type of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Teeth Implants

Dental Implantsare titanium rods that are inserted into the bone.  It is a surgical procedure and takes about anhour.  It is done under sterileconditions to minimise the risk of infection. Teeth Implants are a permanent fixture in your mouth so it’s just likehaving your teeth back.  Crowns areplaced on top of the Implant to replicate your teeth.  Over time the Crowns will needreplacing.  If you have more then one gapall running consecutively then a few implants can be placed and then a Dental Bridgeon top.  You don’t have to have a DentalImplant for every tooth missing. Treatment takes about 6 months to complete as time is needed for bone toheal around the Implant.  Completed anysooner and you risk the Implant failing.  

Cosmetic Dentures

There are twotypes of Cosmetic Dentures – Full and Partial. Cosmetic Dentures are made using the finest quality materials.  Our Denture Technician uses state of the artequipment to carefully craft your Cosmetic Dentures.  We take special impressions and measurementsto ensure that your Dentures fit perfectly and are comfortable.  They look like natural teeth and no one wouldbe able to tell the difference!  Theytake 4 appointments made over a month to complete.  With care they should last you a long time.  Over time your jaw bone starts to recede andyou may find the dentures start to become loose.  We can reline the dentures making them fit asthey did before.
