Clear braces are the most popular form of Orthodontics. The benefits of having Clear Braces are:

• They are quicker at straightening the teeth.
Clear Braces are used to straighten overlapping, crooked or gappy teeth. Clear Braces are not suitable for all patients. Our Orthodontist will assess your needs and tell you the best Clear Brace for you.
At Perfect Smile Spa in Essex we offer 2 different types of Clear Braces – Clearstep and Inman Aligner, both with a very high success rate.
What is Clearstep?
Clearstep is suitable for all your teeth. Its is a thin, transparent plastic tray that you wear for 20 hours a day. The first step is the Orthodontist will take impressions of your teeth and send them to Clearstep for a report. This report will tell you how long it will take to straighten your teeth and will explain the stages of the treatment. It is comfortable to wear and doesn’t affect your speech. To straighten your teeth with Clearstep can take between 12-24 months. It is done in series of steps, for the first 3 months you will be given a box of trays to wear. Our Orthodontist will then review your teeth and give you another box of trays to wear. This process will happen until your teeth have straightened to the desired position.
What is Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner will only work on the upper or lower front four teeth. Depending on the patients needs this system can consist of a single appliance or a series of appliances. These appliances move your teeth in small increments from their original position to the desired position. Each appliance fully covers your teeth and is virtually invisible. The success of the treatment is entirely down to the patient. The appliance needs to be worn for 20 hours a day to get the full effect. It can be slightly uncomfortable when wearing the appliances because it creates pressure as it encourages your teeth to move. Appliances must be removed when eating and drinking.
